This term in STEM the Foundation and Year 1/2 students are learning about materials and their properties as they consider how materials are used in buildings and shelters. The story of “The Three Little Pigs” provided some wonderful inspiration for designing, planning and creating many different houses from a variety of different materials selected by the students.

It has been fabulous seeing so many students getting involved in running club which has commenced again this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. The aim of Running Club is to motivate the kids to stay active, and to also build up their fitness in preparation for Maryborough later this year. We’ve even had a few family members joining in too which has been great! Running club kicks off at 8am every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning (weather dependant), so please feel free to join us if you can.
It's great to have former students Min and Emma helping out with Running Club. Don't forget to pop on over to Breakfast Club after you've done few laps!!!

Dear Families,
After a two-year hiatus we are thrilled to announce we will again be competing in the 2022 Energy Breakthrough event in Maryborough, taking place from the 16th to the 20th of November.
Since 1991, the Energy Breakthrough has provided opportunities for students, teachers, parents and local industry to work together to design and construct a vehicle, a machine or innovation in technology that will represent an ‘energy breakthrough’.
The program is unique in that all teams must compete across three areas of assessment:
The 2022 Victorian State Schools Spectacular brings together government school communities from across Victoria to produce a 3-hour live show including music, dance, circus arts, puppetry and skating.

Talented Victorian students will feature on stage, while many other students will work behind the scenes, gaining unique, on-the-job, professional experience.
