Sibling Enrolments 2023

As we approach the mid-way point of the year, we are eager to start to confirm our 2023 Foundation enrolments. If you are a current school family, with a child eligible for Foundation next year, we seek your support to complete an enrolment form as soon as possible. These forms can be obtained in hard copy at the office or electronically on the school website. The timely lodgement of these forms is extremely helpful for the school’s planning and decision making processes. We thank families in anticipation of their support on this matter.

Sick Children

Parents are asked not to send their child/ren to school if they are at all unwell.  Given the low immunity within the community at the moment, we understand that your children are coming down with colds and other illnesses more often and therefore missing more school than usual.  For the wellbeing of the whole school community however we request that you keep you children home if they are unwell.

Please note that students should be clear of any gastro symptoms for 24 hours before returning to school.

Please test your child if they have any COVID like symptoms.

If your child tests positive for COVID please let the school know and report it to the Health Department.  COVID-19 Positive Rapid Antigen Test Self-Reporting Form.

STEM
This week in STEM the F-2 students learnt how and why volcanoes occur. We examined volcanic rocks under the microscope and tested them in the water for trapped bubbles found in vulcanite rocks such as Andesite and Basalt. We observed that Pumice can float because of pockets of gas trapped inside them. πŸ₯ΌπŸ§ͺπŸ§‘πŸ½‍πŸ”¬πŸŒ‹
