Last Friday all the students participated in the Tootgarook House Cross Country.
Students celebrated the four houses, Tasman, Cook, Flinders and Bass throughout the day. Students were awarded 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th ribbons as well as house points for their efforts on the day.
In previous years Cook and Bass have won the House Cross Country, this year Tasman took the win!
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the day and Congratulations to all the Tasman students who won points for their house just by participating!
Students in years 3-6 will be participating in the District Cross Country on the 19th May at Truemans Road Reserve.
On Wednesday the 5th of May 2021 the boy’s netball and girls football was held at the Truemans Road.
The girls played 4 games of football against Red Hill, Rye, Fatima and Rosebud. During a challenging game, the Tootgarook girls scored their first goal against Rye! Even though our team did not make the finals, the day was about inclusivity and learning new skills. We ended each game with handshakes, high fives and by saying, “good game” to the other teams. Tootgarook Primary School finished in 5th place overall. Thank you to the coaches, teachers, parent helpers, and everyone who participated.

On Wednesday the 5th of May the Tootgarook students walked to Truemans Road, to compete against other schools in a netball tournament. We had two teams enter the tournament that included Grade 5 and 6 students. Both teams played 7 games in total, with the A Team winning a game against Red Hill.
To help the students learn a new game, we played two 7-minute half’s which resulted in a long day of netball! Even though we didn’t win many games, we had lots of fun and got to learn new skills in a team environment. Thank you to Mr Morrison and Julie Woulfe for coaching us and supporting us on the day.By Will Hartley, Callum Woulfe and Ziah White
