At our school, Sonia, our dedicated Anglicare Family and School Wellbeing Worker, provides essential support to students, families, and the wider school community. With a focus on promoting mental health and wellbeing, Sonia works collaboratively with students to enhance their resilience, emotional growth, and social connections. Whether it's offering one-on-one support, leading group programs, or helping families navigate challenges, Sonia is committed to creating a positive and supportive environment where every student can thrive. Sonia works closely with Assistant Principal Adele Read to ensure that wellbeing initiatives align with the school's overall goals. This collaboration fosters a nurturing and positive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.
In addition to wellbeing support, Anglicare facilitates after-school tutoring sessions for senior school students. These tutoring sessions are designed to provide targeted academic support, helping students improve their skills and succeed in their studies. The program offers one-on-one sessions, allowing students to receive personalised attention in areas where they may need extra help. With Anglicare's experienced tutors, students can build confidence, address academic challenges, and reach their full potential in a supportive, focused environment.
